Melzie

Melzie’s personal outlook in life is to live like she’s the heroine of a movie. And like the heroines from many romantic comedies, Melzie is upbeat and encouraging, goofy and dramatic. Gifted with the ability to charm others into a wacky and occasionally rewarding friendship …y’know, so long as they’re able to mind Melzie’s rather frequent outbursts and supposed naivety when it comes to the topic of romantic relationships. P.S. It’s a VERY consistent topic!

Melzie loves love and can’t seem to go a solid month without finding a new person to cast as the love interest of her life’s movie. Melzie crushes on people for very mundane reasons, from living in the apartment next to her to spotting her an extra dollar at the convenience store. Because her crushes are often complete strangers, they’re nerve-wracking and exciting, emotions Melzie seems to thrive off of. She will even go to great lengths to change parts of herself to fit her fantasy’s “narrative.” Ironically, it’s in knowing nothing about her crushes that causes Melzie to quickly lose interest in them the very second she realizes a very real, very human aspect of them that's off script from her idealized version of them. Because Melzie lives in the realm of her own fantasies, she unconsciously sets expectations that no one can meet.


Melzie's magical girl persona directly reflects her innermost self. Her transformed appearance closely resembles her original self, representing her self-confidence and desire to be recognized. Unlike the Love Magician, her magical boy idol, Melzie does not have a staple outfit. She has a new outfit for every transformation, representing both her fickle nature and her passion as a fashion content-creator. Still, each outfit consistently features a heart motif, tying her magical girl identity closely to the Love Magician's "love" aesthetic, highlighting her fanaticism toward him.

Idalia - 23 - she/her
Melzie's best friend and roommate. A fellow content-creator in all things fashion, aesthetic eats and city life!
Can't really keep up with Melzie's love life and doesn't really try to. She's just happy to have someone to share in her passions with.





Elowyn - 15 - she/her
Idalia's little sister. Doesn't officially live with Melzie and Idalia, but is around more often than not and has made their couch into her personal habitat. Always caught up with the latest superhero gossip and finds Melzie's penchant for exaggerating exciting! Is often gaming in her spare time and would probably flunk out of school if not for Idalia's badgering.
Prefers to go by Wynnie.
